Pending Price Group Changes List
Introduction
The Cybertill system already allows for a Product to be sold at a different price in each store Location. However, large Retailers may operate a local, regional or competitor pricing policy in which a Product has several different selling prices spread across hundreds of stores, but this can be a difficult process to manage. The Store Price Groups function makes it much easier for a Retailer to manage this complexity and volume of data.
Note: This feature is controlled by the ‘Store Price Groups’ Licence. Please speak to your Account Manager for more information.
Adding Stores into Groups
Firstly, the user needs to create Store Prices Groups on the system. This is then used in the Price Update feature under the Admin menu.
To set up a group,
- select the Merchandise menu from the Cybertill Back Office.
- Click on Store Price Groups under the Store Price Groups section.
The Store Price Groups List will open. If you are yet to create any groups, this page will apear blank.
- click on the New button at the bottom of the screen.
The New Store Price Group page will display:
In the Store Price Group* field,
- enter a unique name for your Store Group.
In the Locations* field,
- select all the Locations that are going to belong to this group.
When the group has been created,
- click Save at the bottom of the screen to confirm.
You will receive a success message at the top of the page:
Continue to follow the above process until all groups have been set up.
Price Update
Once the Price Groups have been set up the user can use them to run a Price Update in the Admin menu.
From within the Admin menu,
- locate to the Batch updates section.
- Select Price Update
To set up a new update job,
- click on Create New Price Update at the bottom of the screen.
On this page, options can be set as to when and where the user wishes the Price Update to take place.
Note: the Update Option* field must be set to ‘Update prices for selected store price group’ to enable the pre-defined Price Groups to be used.
- Select the group from the Store Price Group* field
- Save changes at the bottom of the page.
Users can then follow the Price Update module to schedule price changes.
Pending Price Group Changes List
The Pending Price Group Changes List displays a list of any price update job changes that are pending.
Example: within Merchandise > Store Price Groups, a change has been added to remove a Location from a Store Price Group. That change is still pending.
To view pending changes:
- Select the Merchandise menu.
- Click on Pending Price Group Changes List under the Store Price Groups section.

The filter tab at the top of the page will allow the user to narrow the list down to specific price changes:
After clicking the filter the user can select the options on screen that they wish to view.
▪ Click on the Filter button to filter results.
Store Price Groups Report
The Store Price Groups Report will show a list of products and prices at different locations based on the filters the user chooses.
To do this,
- select the Merchandise tab.
- Click on Store Price Groups Report under the Store Price Groups section.
Using the Filter Options,
- select the Category(s), or use the Item List to select specific items.
- Select the Locations and Store Price Group and the Currency for the locations selected.
- press Generate at the bottom of the screen.
This will then produce the report to show all Items, Categories and Prices.
