New Allocation from Current Stock
Introduction
The Advanced Stock Allocation module allows quantities of a stock item to be allocated across groups of locations in one go rather than uploading or entering the same data for each location individually. Also, stock allocated but not yet picked, in the warehouse can be set as “reserved” to reduce the risk of Store Replenishment and Stock Allocation causing stock to be sent twice to a store.
Note: This feature is controlled by the ‘Advanced Stock Allocation’ Licence. Please speak to your Account Manager for more information.
New Allocation from POP
When wanting to allocate stock to stores from a Purchase Order the user must ensure that the Purchase Order (PO) has already been created.
To set up a new allocation,
- select the Merchandise menu from the Cybertill Back Office.
- Click on the Advanced Stock Allocation function under the Advanced Stock Allocation section.
In this screen all current and complete stock allocations will show in the Stock Allocation List. If you are yet to create a Stock Allocation job, this list will appear blank.
- click on the New button at the bottom of the screen.
The New Stock Allocation page will display:
In the Name* field,
- enter a unique name for your Allocation.
In the Warehouse* field,
- select the Warehouse where the stock is being allocated from.
In the Purchase Order field,
- select the PO due to arrive in the selected warehouse.
Next, using either the Receiving Store Profile, or the Receiving Locations,
- select the receiving stores,
Note: only the stores linked to that Warehouse will show in this screen.
Next,
- select the Stock Allocation Pick Date*.
This date must be on or after the PO’s ‘Deliver by’ date.
Then finally,
- set whether the stock will be allocated from the Max Stock set in the item, or the order qty from the PO, or amounts can be uploaded via csv file.
Once all options are set,
- click on Create.
The next screen will show all products from the PO selected and show the amounts for each locations selected.
The amounts can be adjusted if required. Once you are happy with amounts,
- click Create Transfer Request(s).
When the Purchase Order has been booked in by the Warehouse, items can then be dispatched to stores using the Stock > Transfers option.
New Allocation from Current Stock
To set up a new allocation,
- select the Merchandise menu.
- Click on the Advanced Stock Allocation function under the Advanced Stock Allocation section.
In this screen all current and complete stock allocations will show in the Stock Allocation List.
To create a new allocation,
- click on the New button at the bottom of the screen.
In the Name* field,
- enter a unique name for your Allocation.
In the Warehouse* field,
- select the Warehouse where the stock is being allocated from.
Next,
- select the items that need to be allocated using the Search wizard or the .CSV upload.
Items will then be shown in the Select From List.
- Select the Receiving Store Profile or Receiving Locations.
- Set the Stock Allocation Pick Date, and then select either populate with Max Stock or use the CSV upload to set amounts.
Once this is completed,
- click Create.
The next screen will show all products selected and show the amounts for each locations selected. The amounts can be adjusted if required. Once happy with amounts,
- click Create Transfer Request(s).
When the Purchase Order has been booked in by the Warehouse, items can then be dispatched to stores using the Stock > Transfers option.
