Clearing Down/ Removing Attributes
Introduction
Product Manager can be used for updating multiple product attributes at once. These are:
- Season
- Brand
- Category
- Stock Ref
- Carriage Band
- Available to Sell
Once you know how to update one, the rest are processed in the same manner.
Accessing Product Manager
Firstly, you need to log into the system. To do so, ▪ Enter your username into the Username* field.
- Enter your Username into the Username* field.
- Enter your password into the Password* field.
- Click Login
Note: If you do not have this information please see your system administrator.
Next,
- Select the Admin menu.
- Locate to the Batch updates section, and select Product Manager.
The Product Manager List will open, listing all products.
- Select the Filter available button to narrow down your product list and display the selected products.
Once selected, the Filter Dialog box will appear:
- Enter your filter criteria eg. EPOS Category > ‘Women’s Wear’, and press Filter
.
Note: more than one filter can be applied to narrow down the results further.
Clearing Down/ Removing Attributes
▪ Select the products from the list that you want to clear down the attribute for.
The attributes that can be cleared for each product are:
- Seasons
- Brands
- Stock Refs
- Carriage Weight Bands
- Available To Sell
Once selected, from the Batch Actions located at the very bottom of the page,
▪ click the dropdown arrow and select the action.
- select go
.
Warning: once you have clicked go this update clear down cannot be undone.
In the example below, we cleared the ‘Brands’ for each product selected.
A banner will appear confirming the number of products affected, along with displaying the product change.
Setting a Product Attributes
To set a product attribute against a list of products,
- again, filter your selection.
Once selected, the Filter Dialog box will appear:
- Enter your filter criteria eg. EPOS Category > ‘Women’s Wear’, and press Filter
.
Note: more than one filter can be applied to narrow down the results further.
- Select the products from the list that you want to include in the Bulk Update.
Once selected,
- locate to the Bulk Options section at the bottom of the page.
- select the correct attribute type and value from the drop down boxes.
In this example we are going to change the Brand to ‘Test Brand’.
From the Batch Actions located at the very bottom of the page,
- click the dropdown arrow and select Bulk Update.
select go .
Once the screen has refreshed it will display a banner confirming the number of products updated along with displaying the change.
