Introduction 

This Quick Reference Guide (QRG) covers the change introduced to facilitate the bulk updating of the ‘Commission Band’ value against items

Applying Commission Bands from Within the Edit Category Screen 

Firstly, 

• click on the Admin Menu

  

• Select Products and Categories

Next to the existing EPOS category, 

• select the edit button:

A new dropdown box has been added to the Edit Category page labelled ‘Commission Band’ . In addition to a new checkbox labelled ‘Auto Apply Commission Band’

This dropdown field contains all the ‘Commission Bands’ setup on the retailer database, along with a blank option. The default option for this field is set as blank.

To apply a commission band, within the Edit Category screen you must select a ‘Commission Band’ value and tick the ‘Auto Apply Commission Band’ checkbox.

Following this click on the Save button located at the bottom left of the screen

If the ‘Auto Apply Commission Band’ checkbox is selected, any existing items within the that category as well its subcategories will be updated to the selected Commission Band. When the ‘Auto Apply Commission Band’ checkbox is not selected, no changes will not be saved, and no bulk update will be applied. However, it is still possible to save other changes on the ‘Edit Category’ screen without performing the bulk update providing that the ‘Commission Band’ field is not changed.

Applying Commission from within the Commission Bands Screen 

Firstly, 

• click on the Admin Menu

• Select Commission Bands

Depending on if you are creating a new or editing an existing Commission band either, 

• select the Edit or Add A Commission Band button:

On the Commission Band screen there is a dropdown list labelled ‘Epos category commission band list’. This dropdown contains all EPOS categories setup on the retails database.

To apply the currently selected commission band to categories you must select the EPOS category. Following this click Save.

Once saved the change triggers a bulk update of the 'Commission Band' value against categories, subcategories and associated items. Any existing commission band associated to these will be replaced by the new commission band value. 

Note: These options are purely for existing items. Any items created in the EPOS category after the bulk update will use the value specified at the point of creation
