Product Assortment Performance Report
Introduction
The Assortment Management module allows the business to set up Store Profiles, Product Groups and link them together. This allows Store Replenishment and Purchase Ordering to be better planned. Stores are put into groups such as ‘Large’, ‘Medium’ and ‘Small’. Products can then also be grouped such as Christmas Stock. The business can then use the Product Assortments to decide what groups of Products go to what store profiles and how much, by setting minimum and maximum stock levels.
Store Profiles
The purpose behind a Store Profile is to put stores into small, easily managed, groups. The groups can be set up dependant on factors such as ‘size’, ‘region’ or ‘clientele’.
To set up a new profile,
- select the Merchandise menu from the Cybertill Back Office.
- Click on Store Profiles under the Assortment Management section.
The Store Profiles List will open. In this section the stores can be grouped into profiles. Please note stores can be in more than one profile which can be useful depending on what type of stock is going out to stores.
To add a new Store Profile,
- click on the New button at the bottom of the screen.
The New Store Profile page will open.
In the Name* field,
- enter a unique name for the profile you are creating.
Next,
- select the Location(s) that you are associating to this profile.
From the bottom of the page,
- click Save.
All profile can be found in the Store Profile List by clicking the Back To List button at the bottom of the screen.
Product Groups
Product Groups allow the business to group together similar items for an easier distribution and ordering process, such as Christmas stock.
To set up a new Product Group,
- select the Merchandise menu from the Cybertill Back Office.
- Click on Product Groups under the Assortment Management section.
To set up a new Product Group,
- click on the New button at the bottom of the page.
Once in this screen,
- enter a unique Product Group name into the Name* field.
The Products can then be selected in three different ways; by ‘Category’, ‘Product’ or ‘Individual items’.
When all Products of this group have been added,
- click Save.
- Continue with this process for all Product Groups you wish to create.
Product Assortments
Product Assortments allow the business to link the Store Profiles with the Product Groups and set the desired stock level for each one.
To set up,
- select the Merchandise menu from the Cybertill Back Office.
- Click on Product Assortments under the Assortment Management section.
To set up a new Product Assortment,
- click on the New button at the bottom of the page.
The below page will open:
Using this screen, the Product Assortment can be set up.
Firstly,
- select a Product Group.
There is another option to add a further Item that may not normally belong to that Product Group, but it can be added to the group as a one off.
Next,
- select the Store Profile that needs to be linked to the Products.
Another Location can also be added as a one off.
- Lastly, enter an Effective Date*.
The Effective Date is the date the job is run.
- Click on the Save button at the bottom of the page.
After the Product Assortment job has been set up the screen will then change to display the Product Assortment List.
On this screen a Min and Max for each Product can be set this will apply for that Store Profile only. Either a group Min/Max can be set, or individual Min/Max levels can be set for each Location within that Store Profile. A Re-order Level and Reorder Qty can also be set. These can be used when creating methods for Purchase Orders and replenishment of stock in stores.
Once all quantities have been entered,
- click on the Save button at the bottom of the page.
- Continue to do this process until all product assortments have been set up.
Product Assortments Report
The Product Assortment Report allows you to view what assortments are at what Location by setting the relevant Filters Options on the report. To run this report, from within the Merchandise menu,
- locate back to the Assortment Management section.
- Click Product Assortment Report.
Once selected, the filter screen can be set up for the desired result.
Using the filters,
- select a Category.
- The Product List feature can be used if wanting to report on one or more specific Products.
- Select the Locations and/or Store Profiles.
The Effective Date From field gives two date options, so you can select a period of time to show any assortments that became effective between those two dates. The Effective Date To field is the same.
The next option is to Exclude Zero Available Stock Items.
- Tick the box if necessary.
Finally,
- select how the Report is to be grouped, by ‘Location’ or by ‘Item’.
Once the filters have been set,
- press Generate to produce the report.
The results for this Report will show what Products are in what Locations, it will also show the Min Stock, Max Stock, Reorder Level and Re-order Qty that have been set in the assortment set up.
The Report will also show available stock in the store, a week’s stock cover, how many items were sold in the last four weeks and a break down of the last four weeks of sales. Finally, the Report shows the current Store Price, if a Price Change has been set, what that New Price will be and when that will change.
Product Assortment Performance Report
The Product Assortment Performance Report allows the user to view the sales performance of Products based on the Store Profiles and Categories those Products are in.
To run this Report,
- select the Merchandise tab at the top of the page.
Under the Assortment Management section,
- select Product Assortment Performance Report.
Once selected the filter screen can be set up for desired result.
Once the desired filters are set,
- press Generate to run the report.
The results of the Report are shown on screen and can also be downloaded into .CSV format.
The results show the Department which the Products sit in, the Gross is the sales for the selected period, the Average weekly sales is the total number of sales for a selected date range, divided by the number of days then multiplied by 7. The Current Product Assortments column shows the current products that are in an assortment in that combination of Department and Location. The Current Items shows the number of Items in an assortment in that combination of Department and Location. The % sales shows what % that Department has in gross compared to the other Departments in the Report. The week’s Stock Cover column shows the number of weeks worth of stock that are available based on the gross from that date range.
